Colon Hydrotherapy

Cancer of the colon and rectum (Colorectal Cancer) is the second most common form of cancer overall in the United States. Approximately 200,000 new cases are diagnosed annually. It is a disease of an industrialized nation. Refined flours, sugars, and chemically altered foods decrease bowel transit time and increase the formation of poisons in the colon.

Over 22 poisons have been identified in a toxic colon. Typical transit time (from the time the food enters your stomach until the elimination of the stool) is supposed to be 12 to 24 hours. The average transit time in the United States is 74 hours.

Poisons from the colon can…

  • Weaken and stress the heart. Go to the skin and cause blemishes, paleness, psoriasis, liver spots, wrinkles, and other facial conditions.

  • Irritate the lungs and cause foul breath.
Go to the brain and disturb mental function and cause senility

  • Go to the joints and cause pain and stiffness

  • Cause fatty degeneration of the liver

  • Go to the muscles and cause weakness and excessive fatigue

What is Colon Therapy?

Specialized equipment is used to gently cleanse the large intestine with warm filtered water. This stimulates and increases the peristalsis (muscular contraction) of the colon. The procedure is performed by a licensed Hydrotherapist.

What Benefits Can Be Expected From Colon Hydrotherapy?

Patients improve much faster when weekly treatments are done.

Many clients report better well-being, less reaction to food allergies. Patients have also reported lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels following treatments. A clean colon prevents toxins from re-entering the bloodstream, which in turn allows the liver to function better. The liver can then perform a better job in the break-down and processing of fats and sugars.

Clinical experience with patients has also shown that patients who undergo regular Colon Hydrotherapy treatments while on a nutritional/supplement program improve much faster and usually require less herbal and nutritional supplements. This is most likely due to better assimilation of nutrients through the digestive system.

What is a Colon Hydrotherapy Session Like?

A session is a comfortable experience for many people. It produces no toxicity. The technique utilized allows a small amount of water to flow into the colon, thus gently stimulating the colon’s natural peristaltic action to release softened waste. The inflow of small amounts of water and the release of waste may be repeated several times. The removal of waste should encourage better colon function and elimination.

During the session, most clothing can be kept on and you will be draped, or a gown might be worn to ensure modesty. Your dignity is always maintained.

How Many Colon Hydrotherapy Sessions Does One Need?

Every individual is different; therefore, the number of sessions is determined according to their need. Colon Hydrotherapy could be part of a maintenance program, helping to accomplish cleansing, toning, and rebuilding overall health.

How Does It Compare to An Enema?

It is generally much gentler and more thorough than an enema. Water is allowed to flow in and the waste flows out many times during the treatment. An enema uses much greater pressure in a shorter period of time, with only one or two infusions. A colonic treatment takes about one hour and can effectively reach the ascending colon as well which an enema usually does not.

What About Sanitary Procedures?

Modern colon hydrotherapy equipment is manufactured through compliance with strict FDA guidelines. The FDA registered equipment, features temperature-controlled water mixing, backflow prevention valves; and pressure and temperature sensors. Disposable single-use waste hose, water supply line and speculae are used.
